This is the poem that I've written for all the Mamas in the world in conjunction with Mama's day

Title: Mama

9 months of pregnancy, 9 months of anticipation
9 months of anticipation, whole life of dedication
9 months of pregnancy, 9 months of toleration
9 months of toleration, whole life of protection

Whole life of dedication, but you’d never complain
Whole life of protection, just like a shelter in the rain
Whole life of exhaustion, but you’d always maintain
Whole life of devotion, and there’s no way to explain

For all the love you’ve been offering, unselfishly
For all the care you’ve been giving, passionately
For all the things you’ve taught, unconditionally
I’d be forever grateful to you, whole-heartedly

Mama, I’m sorry for I have made you cry the tears
Mama, I’m sorry for the heartaches all these years
Mama, please forgive me for you’ve had the fears
Mama, I promise that all your sadness disappears

My mama, thank you, for every word you say
My mama, thank you, for every effort you pay
My mama, thank you, for the love that you lay
And here I will wish you a Happy Mama’s day
